How it all began
Netherlands-based Jean Pierre Mampaey began his career in hospitality at the tender age of 14 working as a barrier attendant at Roompot Beach Resort and Campsite. He then studied to be a systems analyst and went on to become Chief Operating Officer for two further resorts with campsites and a marina.
In 1998 he established what was to become Europe's premier consultancy for hospitality, leisure and recreational lodging, employing a team of 15 first-rate specialists. In his role Mampaey travelled extensively, all the time searching for the best and most favorable business management platform for complex holiday parks, resorts and campsites. Finding nothing that matched his concept of a single system resource, Mampaey deployed his own accomplished IT skills and developed Newyse. Today, Maxxton is the leading provider of hospitality ERP software in Europe.

Maxxton's founder is also chairman of Recron: an independent board in the Netherlands that analyzes hospitality trends. Mampaey utilizes this experience to the benefit of Maxxton's clients.
